Our story began in 2016, when we were just teenagers on a cruise with our families, who just so happened to already be family friends. What started as a little teenage flirting turned into something more when we came back home and had our first official date at the movie theater (graciously chauffeured by Stephen’s mom!). Even though we had known each other for years through our parents, we hadn’t really paid much attention to each other.

From there, everything naturally started to fall into place. Before long, we made it official and spent our junior and senior years of high school together, experiencing so many firsts side by side. From school dances and movie dates to everything in between. After high school, we continued our journey as we headed off to college, Stephen to Quinnipiac University and Kayla eventually to Fairfield University. Through long drives, busy schedules, milestones, and all of life’s twists and turns, we were always there to cheer each other on.

More than anything, we have always been best friends. We’ve been each other’s constant through every high and low, always knowing that we wanted the other by our side no matter what life brought our way. Now, we couldn’t be more excited that our high school sweetheart story has led us here. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter together and celebrate with all of you!
